About Lindsay
Lindsay became interested in human well being and happiness at a young age, and time only fueled her passion for helping others. Lindsay graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Education from the University of Florida. She went on to receive a Masters of Science in Counselor Education, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During her graduate education, Lindsay served as a graduate assistant for the Counselor Education department at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. At this time, Lindsay assisted with the direction of the Counselor Education Program as well as studying the prevention of child maltreatment. Prior to moving to Kaua’i, Lindsay also provided individual and group therapy at an intensive outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment facility in Hollywood, Florida. Lindsay went on to spend several years providing therapy for Kaua’i families with the local non-profit organization Child & Family Service.
Lindsay has served the community independently as a licensed mental health counselor since 2016, and is passionate about helping others overcome anything in the way of enjoying the life we all deserve. As a first generation Cuban American, Lindsay is personally familiar with intergenerational trauma and the trials of overcoming the pain that can echo through a family. She is dedicated to helping others tap into their innate and unbreakable inner resilience and courage. While she likes kicking back with a book, she also enjoys hiking, exercising, and spending time in the ocean.
